Frequently asked questions

Patients enjoy a relaxed, personalized experience during their initial visit. They will undergo certain tests and examinations. After the initial consultation, the practitioner will discuss with them the most effective program for their problem.

After completing a detailed history and a thorough physical exam, your pain management practitioner may order additional tests such as radiographic images (including x-rays, MRIs, etc.) if clinically needed. Chronic pain is a complex process that requires a combination of treatments in order to achieve the best results. A multidisciplinary treatment plan tailored to the individual patient will be discussed and initiated that may include rehabilitation, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, joint mobilization and/or physical therapy. Pain management requires active commitment effort from both the individual suffering from chronic pain and the healthcare team.

Pain is a tricky thing to manage. When it comes to pain, there is no simple solution that will work for everyone. Everyone’s pain is different and they deserve a personalized treatment plan that is as unique as they are. When the pain is ongoing and left untreated, it may lead to a lot of pain and permanent damage later on.

Our practitioner will inform the patients whether they need an imaging study during the consultation to further look into their condition which is also based on your complaints and the symptoms present. However, x-rays are not always warranted/needed prior to the treatment.

The treatments are safe and avoid operations or risky procedures. You may have some post-treatment soreness, especially after the functional training however it will be subsided within a few days.
